Is this a Vehicle Activated Sign (VAS)?+

Yes. MotionIQ™ is a Vehicle Activated Sign (VAS), also known as a Radar Activated Speed Sign (RASS), driver feedback sign or Speed Indication Device (SID). Radar detects each vehicle and displays its speed to prompt drivers to slow down, while ConnectIQ™ logs every reading for reporting.

Can I choose pole or trailer mounting?+

Yes. The same MotionIQ™ Radar Activated Speed Sign is available pole mounted for permanent sites or trailer mounted for portable deployment. Choose whichever suits your site.

How is it powered?+

Mains, solar or battery. Solar and battery options let you deploy anywhere on the network, including sites with no grid power.

How accurate is the speed data?+

K-band Doppler radar measures both directions at ±1 km/h with 99% accuracy, logging up to 5 million vehicles per unit.

Is it compliant for Australian roads?+

MotionIQ™ is compliant with AS 5156:2020 and carries the RCM mark, backed by EMC, EME and electrical safety test reports. Achieva is Australian-owned with local support and data hosted in Australia.

What reports do we get?+
